Honouring Yourself

Key ingredients that make up the recipe for honouring who you are:

Belief In Your Abilities:

“If we were meant for an ordinary life, we would not have been blessed with so many extraordinary abilities.” Srinivas

Boundaries:

“Saying no to 1,000 things makes sure we don’t get on the wrong track or try to do too much.” Steve Jobs

Trust:

“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something – your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach never let me down and made all the difference in my life.” Steve Jobs

Faith:

“When you have come to the edge of all light that you know and are about to drop off into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing one of two things will happen: there will be something solid to stand on or you will be taught how to fly.”  Patrick Overton

Letting Go:

“The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that the situation is over, you cannot move forward.” Steve Maraboli

Acceptance:

“Acceptance of one’s life has nothing to do with resignation; it does not mean running away from the struggle. On the contrary it means accepting it as it comes… To accept is to say yes to life in its entirety.” Paul Tournier
